  • Nankai Student Won the First Prize in China Undergraduate Life Science Contest

    The 3rd China Undergraduate Life Science Contest (CULSC) came to an end on November 10th. Instructed by Prof. Xizeng Feng from Nankai University’s College of Life Sciences, the team composed by undergraduates from Biology Boling Class Haoyue Liu, Jiangning Li, and Lixiang Lou, won the first prize and the Award of Viewers’ Choice with the project “Effects of Deltamethrin Exposure on Thyroid Function and Behavior in Mice”.

    This year’s CULSC is co-sponsored by College Biology Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of education, College Biology Science Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of education, College Biotechnology and Bioengineering Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and the journal “Biology Teaching in University (Electronic Edition)” and organized by Shaanxi Normal University.

    4,797 works from 411 colleges and universities across the country participated at the competition. The Nankai University team won the first place in Tianjin and became the only team of Tianjin finalists. The Nankai team received unanimous praise from the judges and won the national first prize and the Award of Viewers’ Choice.
