These overseas teachers and students  ̶ including undergraduates, master, doctoral students as well as teaching staff  ̶ are currently working or studying in Britain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Finland, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Australia and Turkey.. They talked about their health condition and study or work at home, they showed their support for the measures of epidemic prevention and control of different countries and shared some good news with the Alma Mater.

After hearing the life and difficulties of the teachers and students, President Xuetao Cao specifically told them that during this special period it is important to ensure the individual protection. In case of discomfort, it is necessary to seek medical advice in time and keep in touch with Chinese embassies and consulates abroad, and with the university and the respecting relatives at home. He also suggested teachers and students not to waste their time, to study or work at home and strive against the difficulties with the Nankai spirit, improving and enriching themselves by learning new knowledge and skills. “China’s epidemic prevention and control obtained important stage results, but the world’s anti-epidemic work is still serious. The university’s Vice Chancellor Kexin Yang attended the meeting and shared the information of the university’s epidemic prevention and control work as well as its resumption. Vice President Lei Wang hosted the meeting.
