What is the Lecturer Group？

The Ph.D Lecturer Group of Nankai University (hereinafter referred to as the Lecturer Group) was established in May 2012. It is an academic student group mainly composed of doctoral students at Nankai University. The Lecturer Group takes the purpose of studying for a doctor’s degree in Nankai University, learning from the real world, upholding the ambition of dedication to public interests and acquisition of all-round capability and promoting youthful spirit, and gives full play to the advantage of doctoral students in theoretical research and knowledge dissemination. It has taken the initiative to go deep into schools, communities, hospitals, enterprises, subdistricts, and governmental agencies, having held more than 600 presentations, with more than 30,000 audience members in total. Their working achievements have been widely praised by all walks of life and have been successively reported by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, Tonight News Paper, and China Postgraduates, and other mainstream media. And the advanced experience of team building was incorporated in the Classical Cases of Cultivating and Practicing Socialist Core Values in Colleges and Universities by the Department of Moral Education of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. It has become a well-known demonstration team of college students in Tianjin and even in the whole nation.

Team Building

The Lecturer Group is mainly composed of doctoral lecturers (doctors) and administrative staff (masters). There are currently more than 30 lecturers and more than 20 administrative staff. The lecturers’ research covers philosophy, economics, law, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, and other disciplines; administration work is coordinated by the Secretariat, the Department of Education, the Department of Liaison, and the Department of Publicity.

Dissemination Content

As a platform to promote the lecturers themselves and serve the society, the Lecturer Group combines the personal expertise and current social events to provide various targeted lecture topics, which enhances the interest and richness of the topics and makes the dissemination present multi-dimension, diversified and multi-level features. At the same time, in order to achieve sustainable development, the Lecturer Group actively builds the dissemination team, works hard to expand the dissemination resource platform, encourages and supports lecturers to innovate the form of theoretical dissemination and service to the society.

The Lecturer Group of Nankai University has selected lecture topics in combination with professional directions. Some of the experienced lecturers already have a large number of mature lecture topics, such as the 19th CPC National Congress, Party building, rule of law in China, youth growth, and traditional culture have become model achievements in many dissemination activities. At the same time, the lecturers are continually polishing new high-quality topics by combining current social events and the latest theoretical results.

Future Development

After a long period of development, the Lecturer Group has gained outstanding achievements in three aspects: member development, platform construction, and social service. Through a number of dissemination practices, the master students of the Lecturer Group continuously enhance their personal working capability and cultivate their personal striving spirit and cooperative consciousness; the doctoral students of the Lecturer Group also constantly improve their theoretical level, independent learning capability, and practical teaching skills; more importantly, the Lecturer Group has effectively made full use of the brand effect of the Nankai University students’ theoretical dissemination and played a positive role in disseminating new theories and ideas and consolidating the consensus of all parties in society.
