My Story
I'm Yu Danni. After winning the scholarship of China Scholarship Council in the Autumn of 2018, I've gone to Tohoku University in Japan for one-year exchange study.
Tohoku University situates in Sendai-shi, Miyagi-ken of Northeastern Japan, where Lu Xun had studied since he started to learn Medicine instead of Literature. There are statues of Lu Xun and Fujino Genkuro at the entry of its library. I would be so impressed by their friendship and would cherish the opportunity of study more every time passing by the statues.
Besides the relevant courses of my major, Japanese History, I also chose to study Japanese Literature, Cross–Cultural Communication, Thought of Modern Asia, Korean, KARATE and so on.All group discussions, presentations in class and task reports had not only practiced my Japanese skills, but also improved my academic ability as well as deepened my understanding of Japan and other countries. What impressed me the most was the presentation that took "My College" as the theme. I introduced the Nankai University with other teammates, which made me very proud, especially when it came to Premier Zhou. In addition, I had participated in all kinds of lectures to experience various thoughts; lived with others to feel the different culture; done the fieldwork and traveled to the places Matsuo Basho had visited to enjoy the beauty of history...
Besides study, I also made use of my spare time to experience the culture and customs throughout Japan. Red leaves and cherry blossom in Sendai-shi, Dazaifu and Kumamon in Kyushu, night scene and snow in Hokkaido, the tower and Sensoji Temple in Tokyo, junctions of the tram and beaches in Kamakura, hot springs and Valleys in Hakone... All of these are so attractive with distinct features.
In that year, places I went were all I wanted. And I had benefited from all I learned.
