My Story
I've gone to Heidelberg University in Germany for exchange study for half a year after winning the full scholarship of China Scholarship Council in June, 2019. I fully exploited the advantage of small-sized class to actively excise my listening and speaking ability through talking and communicating with other students from all over the world. In fact, there wasn't much chance for me to promote it at home. In the process of communication, I could also feel the difference in terms of perception due to different cultural tradition.
In my spare time, I also traveled to other places in Germany. In the journey, not only did I feel the difference between China and Germany in various aspects, the beautiful natural scenery also impressed me a lot along with those museums with profound cultural background.
In general, I could obviously feel that my German level has been improved significantly, including vocabulary and ability of listening and speaking. It also was the first time for me to live for so long abroad. I really experienced the cultural difference between Germany and China. Meanwhile, I had more chances to communicate with classmates from all over the world, which broadened my horizons and enriched my life experience.
