I. Programs for graduation with Academic Degrees

We support innovating graduate programs.

We put effort into launching multiple teaching programs and further enhance teaching quality. The colleges can apply for new graduate programs independently, which will be reviewed by the expert committee of graduate teaching quality and jointly reviewed by experts concerned. In the end, the university will give financial support to the outstanding colleges according to the review results.

We frequently evaluate graduate programs.

The organization and implementation of graduate programs are supervised, along with course review, initial self-inspection, mid-term inspection, and final teaching evaluation. “Students information staff for graduate teaching work” are employed to conduct graduate course inspection and evaluation. Moreover, college leaders and related teachers are organized to sit in on classes and make comments.

We help Doctor Candidates succeed in graduate schools.

We focus on the quality of doctoral training and coordinate targeted doctoral training in diverse disciplines. A registration system of scientific research index is established for doctoral students and the elimination mechanism for doctoral students is improved. A system of separation of graduation and degree-granting is established. The abnormal management procedures in students’ status are regulated and refined.

II. Programs for graduation with a Professional Degree

We help students make the most of their graduate school experience.

We offer excellent courses and teaching cases, and building demonstration bases. Also, the development of the cultivation programs of Professional Degree graduates granted with teaching results award is funded. The teaching management and academic ability training are strengthened to continuously improve the training quality of Professional Degree graduates.

We engage students in practice.

We seek to build a joint training base for Professional Degree graduates, focus on the integration of industry and education, and cooperate with many well-known enterprises in Tianjin to provide more practice opportunities for Professional Degree graduates.

We provide students with valuable mentorship experience.

The dual mentor teams are under development and the role of mentors in and outside the campus has been continually strengthened in the graduate students' training. The ratio of mentors in and outside the campus is now close to 1:1.

We promote teaching excellence by updating feedback.

We continually strengthen monitoring and management. The questionnaires are promptly handed out to evaluate the teachers’ attitudes, teaching content, and teaching method. Smooth feedback and incentive mechanisms are established to improve teaching skills.
