My Story

Hello, everyone! I'm Zheng Tianhui, a student of Grade 2017 majoring in Italian language and literature.

As a learner of foreign language, it's very important to go to the corresponding country and experience its culture so that the language proficiency could be improved while learning a language. 

And I was very lucky and glad that I could go to Sapienza Università di Roma for exchange study in the fall semester, 2019 after winning the scholarship of "Global Nankai".

During the study in Sapienza Università di Roma, the optional courses I chose include Modern and Contemporary History of the World (la storia contemporanea), Modern History of China (la storia contemporanea della Cina) and Italian Language.

I learned the different knowledge and teaching methods, made friends with some very friendly professors and interesting classmates while gradually improving my Italian in the daily communication and colorful life. In my spare time, I also traveled to many European cities such as Paris, Prague, Barcelona and Milan.

I've gained a more profound understanding of the importance of cultural diversity and inclusiveness by experiencing different local culture, which also broadened my horizons. All in all, I'm really grateful to Nankai University and Sapienza Università di Roma for giving me a chance to go abroad for exchange study. I've benefited a lot from this unforgettable experience.
