Focusing on Model United Nations and related activities, NKUMUNA has been developing for more than ten years since being established. After several years of effort, the Association has become increasingly strong and mature. 

Since 2011, NKUMUNA and TUMUNA (Tianjin University Model United Nations Association) have taken turns hosting the Nankai University-Tianjin University National Model United Nations Conference annually, attracting over 300 students from various schools and universities to participate every year. This event has been highly influential among Chinese universities. In April 2015, our association organized the Nankai University-Tianjin University National Model United Nations Conference 2015, further improving NKU MUNA’s influence in the university as well as nationwide.

The current scale of our association is about 120 members, with a relatively complete framework. There are open courses each semester available to the whole school, focusing on Model United Nations issues, which not only add luster to our association but also enrich students’ extracurricular lives. The courses which were set up in the fall of 2014 in particular have been widely acclaimed, including Welcome to MUN & Topic Analysis, Diplomacy & International Situation Analysis, Data Collection & Information Retrieval, etc.
