Course Overview

Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Legal Basis is an ideological and political theory course that integrates ideological, political, scientific, theoretical, and practical ideas. This course aims at the ideological, moral and legal issues faced by the growing college students. It develops Marxist world outlook, life outlook, values, ethics, and rule of law education, and guides college students to improve their ideological and moral qualities and the consciousness of rule of law, and grow into people of new type with self-consciousness and with responsibility for national rejuvenation.

This course will help college students understand the true meaning of life, firm their ideals and beliefs, practice the core socialist values, and be a loyal patriot in the new era and a major driving force in reform and innovation. It will help college students to form correct moral cognition and actively participate in moral practices, identify great morality, observe social morality keep private morality. It can also help college students fully grasp the essence, operation and system of socialist law, understand the essence of the socialist legal system and the law road, enhance the legal awareness, develop the legal thinking, better exercise legal rights and fulfill legal obligations, and respect, study, abide by, and apply the law, so as to obtain excellent ideological and moral qualities and the quality for rule of law.

This course is divided into 7 topics according to the order of the textbook. Each topic is composed of the basic knowledge involved in the key and difficult points of this chapter to help students master the basic knowledge of this course. This course provides guidance and assistance for students' online learning and independent study and also bring benefit to the classroom learning of Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Legal Basis.
