Taikang Insurance Group and Nankai University held a donation ceremony where both parties signed a letter of intent, announcing that Taikang Insurance Group had donated 30 million RMB to Nankai University. The donation will be used to support the construction of finance disciplines and boost the development of education and teaching at Nankai University.

Dongsheng Chen, founder, chairman and CEO of Taikang Insurance Group, at the donation ceremony announced that the donation represented Taikang Insurance Group’s high respect to Nankai University. Nankai University is the cradle of actuaries in China, continuously providing top talent resources for the financial and insurance industries. He hoped that this donation would enable Nankai’s actuarial studies to grow more vigorously, deeply and extensively, and accelerate the promotion of Chinese insurance actuarial research to catch up with the world level.

Tai Kang Insurance Group has a long-term relationship with Nankai University, and Dongsheng Chen was appointed as a senior advisor of the Nankai Alumni Entrepreneurs Association in 2019 and he visited Nankai University several times to communicate with students and teachers.
