It is reported that the National College Students Mathematical Competition is a national high-level discipline competition for undergraduate students organized by the Chinese Mathematical Society (CMS). With its aim to promote the talent training in China's higher education institutions to a newer level and press ahead the reform in mathematics courses and teaching, it is expected to stimulate students' interest in learning mathematics, discover and select innovative mathematical talents, and provide opportunities for young students to show their mathematical abilities. The competition has become one of the most influential competitions for university students in China with the biggest number of participants. The competition is usually divided into two stages: preliminary selections in regions and national final; this year the finals had more than six hundred college students from all over China.
