On May 19, Nankai University welcomed the delegation consisting of foreign diplomats from 40 countries and the African Union, who came to Tianjin to attend the “Global Forum on Urban Governance 2021 Tianjin· China”, held during the 5th World intelligent conference. Accompanying members included Li Hui, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs, Li Anrong, Deputy Director General of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Luan Jianzhang, director of the Tianjin Foreign Affairs Office, and Yu Mei, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Foreign Affairs Office. Cao Xuetao, President of Nankai University, and Li Jing, vice president of Nankai University, accompanied the guests in Balitai campus.

Having expressed his warm welcome to the guests, President Cao introduced the history and the current situation of Nankai University. They visited the exhibition of the school history over the past century with the theme of Striving with Patriotic Aspiration, Dedicating and Improving with Each Passing Day. In front of the statue of Premier Zhou Enlai, they listened to the students’ recitation of the poetry Nankai Spirit Endures like Mountains and Rivers and then took photos together.

Participants involved the staff from the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Protocol Service in Tianjin Foreign Affairs Office and the Office of International Affairs of Nankai University.
