On May 19, the launch meeting and signing ceremony for cooperation agreements of the project R&D and Industrialization of New Display Semiconductor Fluorescent Quantum Dots initiated by the National Nanotechnology Innovation Research Institute of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (or the Research Institute for short) was held at Nankai University.
Zhao Yuliang, Academician of CAS and Director of the National Center for Nanoscience, Cao Xuetao, Academician of CAE and President of Nankai University, Chen Jun, Academician of CAS and Vice President of Nankai University, Zhou Qilin, Academician of CAS and Professor of the College of Chemistry, Ren Hongxuan, Assistant Director of National Nanotechnology Innovation Research Institute of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Director of Science & Technology Department of the National Center for Nanoscience, Zhu Xiaobo, Chairman and General Manager of Wuhan Jiayuan Tongchuang Technology Co., Ltd., Huang Haitao, General Manager of Nantong Changed New Material Co., Ltd. and faculty representatives of the College of Chemistry attended the meeting.
Before the ceremony, Cao Xuetao met with Zhao Yuliang and his party. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on technological innovation and school-enterprise cooperation.
At the launch meeting, Cao Xuetao introduced the 100-year history of Chemistry of Nankai University and its outstanding contributions to various industries. The head of the College of Chemistry signed a cooperation framework agreement as well as an agreement on the establishment of a demonstration practice base for graduate students of professional degree with Wuhan Jiayuan Tongchuang Technology Co. Ltd. and Nantong Changed New Material Co. Ltd.
After the signing ceremony, professor Pang Daiwen, Director of the Research Center for Analytical Science, introduced the development of his research team's studies on semiconductor fluorescent quantum dots and the transformation of scientific research achievements over the past two decades. Zhao Yuliang and Cao Xuetao highly recognized Pang Daiwen's scientific research results and expressed their support for the successful transformation of these works.
It is reported that the smooth implementation of the R&D and Industrialization of New Display Semiconductor Fluorescent Quantum Dots project will further improve our country's international position in the display field and will facilitate to take the commanding height in future industries at the source.
