On June 6, the 26th National Eye Care Day in China, Nankai University in collaboration with Tianjin Eye Hospital hosted volunteer events to promote eye care and vision protection on Balitai campus. President of Nankai University, Dr. Cao Xuetao, Chancellor of Tianjin Eye Hospital, Dr. Wang Chunge, and Director of Tianjin Eye Hospital, Dr. Wang Yan participated in the events. Dr. Cao, Dr. Wang Chunge, and Dr. Wang Yan showed great enthusiasm for the events and expressed the willingness of joint efforts to promote the eye care campaign among the younger generation.

Medical professionals from Tianjin Eye Hospital came to Nankai with cutting-edge medical equipment and clinic vehicles. They offered free diagnosis to faculty and students of Nankai University, provided medical consultation, and promoted healthcare knowledge at the university-affiliated primary school and kindergarten to help the younger generation perform positive health behavior. The activities raised the awareness of eye disease prevention and vision protection among the faculty and students. The joint volunteer events also created significant social impacts with eye care initiatives in society.
