The 7th National Physics Experiment Competition for College Students Opened

On July 19, the 7th National Physics Experiment Competition for College Students (Teaching Competition) officially opened. This event was organized by the Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Education Institutions, the National Experimental Physics Teaching Research Association for Higher Education Institutions, and the Physics Teaching Committee of the Chinese Physical Society and operated by Nankai University, Tianjin University and Tianjin Physics Society. More than 100 teachers and 400 students from 112 colleges and universities across the country participated in the competition.

The competition was held at Nankai University and Tianjin University separately. The opening ceremony of the competition at Nankai University was held in the Comprehensive Laboratory Building at Balitai Campus. Li Jing, Vice President of Nankai University, Liu Yuxin, Deputy Director of Physics Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, Zhang Zengming, Head of the Physics Section of the Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Education Institutions, and Luo Yan'an, Chairman of Tianjin Physics Society and Professor of Nankai University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. In addition, an experimental teaching exchange meeting was held after the opening ceremony.

The National Physics Experiment Competition for College Students is a project designed for college students and approved by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education. It aims to stimulate college students' interest and their potential in physical experiments, cultivate their innovative and practical ability as well as their teamwork awareness, further lead the reformation of physical experiment teaching. The competition is held every two years.
