Nankai "World First-class University Exchange Program" was Held Online

To strengthen the cooperation and exchange with world first-class universities and explore new channels for joint students training in the post COVID-19 erathe Office of International Affairs of Nankai University, together with College of Computer Science, College of Artificial Intelligence, and College of Chinese Language and Culture of Nankai University, successfully held two sessions of World First-class University Exchange Program for partner universities in the summer of 2021. Nearly 70 students attended the online program, and they are from the University of Birmingham in UK, National University of Singapore, University of Bologna in Italy, University of Lleida in Spain, and Tel Aviv University in Israel, etc.

The first session, entitled Artificial Intelligence: Algorithms and Applications, was held from June 28 to July 9. The program was lectured by Cheng Mingming, a Professor from College of Computer Science, and Yu Ningbo, a Professor from College of Artificial Intelligence. Some international experts and scholars in related fields were also invited to give special lectures. The professors walk students through basic theoretical knowledge of artificial intelligence and the latest innovative application and trends in this field.

The second session, entitled Nankai-Tel Aviv University Online Chinese Learning Program, was held from August 16 to 27 and was lectured by Prof. Dong Shuhui, ProfCui Jianxin, Associate Prof. Yu Hui, and Associate Prof. Zou Yayan, from College of Chinese Language and Culture. This session is a customized learning program, focusing on improving students' Chinese language skills, and presenting Chinese culture from multiple perspectives.

The two sessions of the program were carried out through a combination of live courses, recorded experience courses, and online discussions between teachers and students, etc., which effectively improved the teaching effect and received positive feedback from participating students.
