Nankai Students Win the Grand Prize in the Second National Chemical Experiment Innovation and Design Competition for College Students

The final of the second National Chemical Experiment Innovation and Design Competition for Undergraduate Students was held in Qingdao University of Science and Technology from August 24 to August 27. Students from the College of Chemistry, Nankai University, Zhao Yizhen, Yang Haocheng, and Ye Yukun, won the grand prize with their innovation experiment project “Preparation and Characterization of Thermochromic Spin-transition Materials”. Nankai University was honored as the excellent organization unit.

The National Chemical Experiment Innovation and Design Competition for Undergraduate Students is an event co-sponsored by the National Demonstration Center for Experiment Education of Universities and national top-rank university-based labs. The event lasted for nearly two months. About 900 teams from 370 universities and colleges. The event included three tracks, including popular-science-oriented experiment, improvement-oriented experiment, and innovation-oriented experiment. Fierce competition among teams in seven divisions resulted 90 teams standing out and making to the national final.
