Signing of High-level Framework Cooperation Agreement between Nankai University and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization

Recently, Cao Xuetao, President of Nankai University, and Li Yong, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), signed the Framework Cooperation Agreement between the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Nankai University on behalf of the two sides. This agreement is the first high-level comprehensive framework cooperation agreement signed between the United Nations specialized agencies and universities in China.

In combination with the advantages of academic resources of Nankai University and the core business needs focused by the UNIDO, the two sides will carry out framework cooperation in industrial policy research and consultation, international cooperation in scientific and technological innovation and talent exchange and training in international organizations and technical fields, so as to create a leading, exemplary and innovative cooperation model. This cooperation is an active exploration of in-depth cooperation between universities in China and international organizations in many fields, which also opens up channels for faculty and students of Nankai University to participate in international scientific and technological governance, international exchanges of scientific and technological innovation, and training of technical talents as well as expecting staffs in international organizations.
