On October 17, 2021 Tianjin Joint Annual Academic Conference of Mathematics and Statistics was held at Shiing-Shen Building of Nankai University, which is one of the series of events to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Shiing-Shen Chern. Academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences, including Ma Zhiming, Tian Gang, and Jiang Song, attended the conference and gave lectures, and more than 320 delegates participated online and offline.

The conference was divided into four professional groups: “Basic Mathematics, Combinatorial Mathematics, Geometry and Topology, Graph Theory”, “Differential Equations, Stochastic Processes, Operations Research, Control”, “Analytical Mathematics, Probability Theory, Economics and Management Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Physics”, and “Statistics, High-Dimensional Data, Machine Learning, Deep Learning”. The five winners of the Young Scholar Award of the joint annual conference made special reports respectively on the themes of “Stacked phase recovery: fast blind reconstruction, partial coherence analysis and parallel computation”, “Network function computation”, “Application of potential theory to differential geometry”, “A spinorial analogue of the Brezis-Nirenberg theorem”, and “Blow up solutions for harmonic map flow and Yang Mills flow”.
