On October 25, the award ceremony of the 2nd Global Cross-border E-commerce Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition was held in Hangzhou. CHIN YEAN YEE, a 2018 undergraduate from Malaysia of Business School of Nankai University led CHIO team to win the second prize in the Entrepreneurial Track and Nankai University won the “Best Organization Award”.
In order to actively respond to the “Belt and Road” Initiative, stimulate the enthusiasm of foreign students and returnees, and build a social resource docking platform of “talent + policy + industry”, China (Hangzhou) Cross-Border E-Commerce Comprehensive Pilot Area Construction Leading Group Office, Exit & Entry Administration Bureau of Hangzhou Public Security Bureau, Alibaba Global AliExpress, Alibaba. com and other units joined together to set up the 2nd Global Cross-border E-commerce Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition.
The competition includes two parts: live track and entrepreneurship track. More than 1600 people from 120 countries have registered. Totally 600 (150 teams) global youth participated in programs of the entrepreneurship track. The project areas include cross-border trade, cross-border e-commerce imports & exports, cross-border e-commerce service providers, cross-border e-commerce platform and overseas social media marketing. The final top 16 project leaders are from 16 countries worldwide.
