On November 19, Physics Today initiated by teachers and students of the School of Physics, Nankai University, came to its 500th lecture. Professor Xu Jingjun, executive vice president of Nankai University, expressed his congratulations in person. Also, as the keynote speaker of the 500th lecture, he gave a report entitled Low-Light Nonlinear Optical Effect at Micro-nano Scale and Its Application.

Physics Today is a series of scientific research lectures spontaneously organized by teachers and students of the School of Physics, Nankai University. For each lecture, an academician or well-known scholar is invited. The lectures cover various contents and are related to all aspects of physics, aiming at exposing the students to the cutting-edge sciences, broadening their horizons and keeping their enthusiam to physics. The activity has gone through more than 20 years with 500 lectures.
