Nankai University Releases Annual English Report on the Development of China's Logistics Industry

Recently, Contemporary Logistics in China: Systemic Reconfiguration and Technological Progression, edited by Modern Logistics Research Center of Nankai University and published by Springer (a world-famous technology publishing company), is officially released worldwide. The report is the first and only English report on the development of China's logistics industry that has been published overseas. Published in 11 consecutive issues and downloaded nearly 100,000 times, it has become an important window and platform for the world to get to know China's logistics market and policies.

 


As one of the landmark achievements of the logistics discipline of Nankai University docking the world-class level, the report has been collected by Stanford University, National Library of Australia, National University of Singapore, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and other international research institutions, being an important reference for EU to study China's logistics market. For many years, special reports have been made at the annual meeting of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), the most influential industry event in the field of global logistics and supply chain management. Professor Rick Blasgen, chairman and CEO of CSCMP, John Langley, editor-in-chief of Third-Party Logistics Study and professor of Pennsylvania State University, Britta Gammelgaard, deputy editor of Journal of Business Logistics and professor of Copenhagen Business School and other internationally renowned scholars and industry leaders have written book reviews and given high appraisals for many times.

It is reported that the Modern Logistics Research Center of Nankai University is a national innovative research institution set up by Nankai University and the National Development and Reform Commission, integrating teaching and research, talent training and consulting services and being an excellent key research base for humanities and social sciences in colleges and universities in Tianjin. On behalf of the State Council, the Center has published the annual report on the development of China's logistics industry – China Modern Logistics Development Report (Chinese version) for 19 consecutive years, with a total word count of nearly 6 million words, nearly 40,000 copies, and 15,000 citations. The research results have been adopted and appreciated by the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments by letters for many times.
