On January 7, the joint conference of deans of colleges and directors of administrative offices was held at Shiing-Shen building, Balitai campus for discussion and arrangements of further deepening international cooperation and exchanges. President Cao Xuetao, Vice-Presidents Li Jing, Chen Jun, and Wang Xinsheng attended and Vice-President Wang Lei presided.

At the conference, the Director of the Office of International Affairs and the Dean of the International Education College introduced the overall situation of international cooperation and exchange and the education of international students. The deans of the College of Chemistry and the College of Tourism and Service Management as well as the teachers' representatives of the College of Artificial Intelligence and the School of Finance made the introduction of their college or personal experience.

Vice-President Wang Lei analyzed the international cooperation and exchange of Nankai University in recent years and put forward measures for further development .

Vice-Presidents Li Jing, Chen Jun, and Wang Xinsheng made relevant arrangements on promoting international cooperation and exchanges. They said that the university resources should be further integrated for joint forces and the overall coordination should be conducted to continuously promote the opening-up of education with Nankai characteristics in the new era.

In his concluding speech, President Cao Xuetao pointed out that the opening-up of education is a tradition of Nankai University and an imperative path for the construction of a world-class university. It is necessary to promote the connotative construction of opening-up of education based on the actual situation of Nankai. We need to focus on key areas, give full play to our strengths, pursue practical results, and vigorously implement relevant measures to accelerate the hardware and software construction over infrastructure and curriculum system, to comprehensively improve the university's educational capacity, and to strengthen the international competitiveness and attraction of Nankai University. We should pursue excellence, innovation, and the leapfrog development. We should further stimulate faculty and students to align to a world-class level. We should forge ahead and promote the high-quality development of the Double First-class construction.
