On May 20, the registration system for the 54th International Chemistry Olympiad (hereinafter "IChO 2022") was officially opened. Participating teams from different countries and regions can access the registration system through the official website of IChO 2022 (www.icho2022.cn).
The Organizing Committee will send by email the Registration Information and Registration Process of IChO2022 to the teams that have replied to confirm their participation. Participating teams are required to upload their registration information by June 15 after receiving the email. It is stipulated that each team should be composed of two mentors, four students, two invigilators and several observers and guests.
The going live of the registration system indicates that the countdown to the opening of IChO 2022 has begun. The Organizing Committee is actively advancing the preparatory work and striving to provide the world with a spectacular International Chemistry Olympiad.
The International Chemistry Olympiad is the largest and most prestigious international chemistry competition for high school students. Around 800 students and teachers from more than 80 countries and regions participate in this event each year. During the 51st International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2019) held in Paris, commissioned by the Ministry of Education of China, the China Association for Science and Technology, and the Chinese Chemical Society, Nankai University submitted an application to the IChO Steering Committee and finally won the right to host the IChO 2022 after bid statement and final vote, bringing the IChO back to Chinese mainland after 27 years away.
