On May 10, the NKU teaching and research team for research-oriented teaching (hereinafter referred to as the "teaching and research team") held a special seminar for undergraduates with the theme of "Inquiry-based Learning Based on P-MASE Model".
At the meeting, the leader of the team introduced the construction background, basic structure, configuration and application of the P-MASE model and expounded its five elements, namely P-Problem, M-Method, A-Analysis, S-Solution and E-Evaluation. The leader also introduced the effective ways to carry out the inquiry-based learning under the guidance of teachers with P-MASE model, to form groups to complete the special major assignment, experience the scientific training, master the research method and improve the in-depth research skill.
Afterwards, the assistants of the course Research Method and Application moderated the report and exchange meeting. On behalf of the course inquiry group, the assistants made presentations on the special major assignments of the course titled Simulation of Simple Traffic Light Logic Gates Based on Multisim, Design Study of Smart Home System and Research and Cognition on Communication Major.
It is reported that this activity is one of a series of activities to deeply implement the "Nankai Model" of research-based teaching. In the future, the teaching and research team will hold more multi-disciplinary seminars for undergraduates.
