Experts and scholars interpreted intelligent sensing

The Intelligent Sensing Interdisciplinary Science Center of Nankai University was inaugurated on June 24. Based on the discipline advantages of the College of Materials Science and Engineering as well as other colleges of Nankai University, the Center is geared at the global leading position of technology and industry, and focuses on the design and preparation of biomimetic sensing materials, the construction of intelligent devices, and the integration of bionic systems around scientific issues in intelligent sensing, with a view to becoming the world's top research center for intelligent sensing materials and devices.

This Center was jointly inaugurated by Xia Zhenghuai, deputy director of Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Bureau; Lu Shuangying, vice president of Tianjin Science and Technology Association; Cao Xuetao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Nankai University; and Bu Xianhe, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Nankai University.

In the following Intelligent Sensing Interdisciplinary Science Forum, Prof. Li Jinghong and Prof. Huang Wei, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, respectively gave reports entitled "The Basis of Chemical Measurement of Complex Biochemical Events in Life and Health" and "Leading Technological Innovation with Flexible Electronic Technology". Other participating experts gave reports entitled "intelligent sensing materials", "flexible sensing and motor nerves", "multifunctional nanocomposites and tactile sensor applications", "intelligent molecular probe for biomedical diagnosis and treatment", "research and development of key electronic materials, advanced manufacturing techniques and equipment", "artificial muscle fibers that integrate sensing, signal transmission and driver", "micro-nano biochemical sensors and their integrated systems", "construction and characterization of single-molecule photosensitive devices", etc.
