The 2022 Nankai University "World-class University Exchange Program" Kicked Off

The Second "World-class University Exchange Program" held by the Office of International Affairs of NKU in concert with the College of Computer Science, the College of Artificial Intelligence, and the College of Chinese Language and Culture, was officially opened on June 27. Li Yuelin, Director of the Office of International Affairs, presented and delivered an opening speech at the event. Deputy Director Zhang Ning moderated the opening ceremony. This year’s “World-class University Exchange Program” was attended by more than 60 students from 17 partner universities such as the University of Glasgow in the U.K., University College Dublin in Ireland, and Kyushu University in Japan. 

In her speech, Li Yuelin welcomed the participating students and introduced the history and development of Nankai University. She said that Nankai University has forged exchange and cooperative relationships with over 330 universities and research institutes around the world. She hopes that Nankai University will strengthen cooperation and exchanges with world-class universities in the post-COVID era, and explore new channels for joint training of talents through various forms, including online summer programs. 

Prof. Cheng Mingming of the College of Computer Science introduced the program courses and communicated with the students on behalf of the program instructors.

The program, which is held from June 27 to July 15, is mainly targeted at overseas partner universities of Nankai University. The program is divided into two sessions: "Artificial Intelligence: Algorithms and Applications" and "Chinese Language and Chinese Culture" and conducted through the combination of live-streamed courses, recorded experience classes, online discussions between teachers and students, etc.
