The National Lectures Competition for Young Teachers for Basic University Course of Physics was held in Changchun on August 6, which drew 21 outstanding teachers from 6 regions including East China and North China. Zhang Siyao from the School of Physics of Nankai University won the first prize and gave a demonstration class at the event.
The Competition is jointly sponsored by the Teaching Steering Committee of the Basic Course of Physics in Universities under the Ministry of Education, the Teaching Steering Committee of Physics Specialties in Universities under the Ministry of Education, and the Physics Teaching Committee of the Chinese Physical Society, and is organized by Northeast Normal University. The competition is aimed at enhancing the teaching competence of young teachers, promoting the exchange of teaching content, skills and experience, carrying out teaching reform, and improving the caliber of teachers.
The competition consists of lectures in the form of theory course and experiment course, and is held alternately every other year. This competition takes the form of lecture of experimental course.
