Recently, the finals of the first “Ingenuity Cup” National Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Competition was held in Longhua District, Shenzhen. The team composed of members from the College of Artificial Intelligence, Nankai University and Tianjin GloryMed-Ai, among more than 16,000 participants from 9,000 teams, won the first prize.
Led by Professor Xu Jing of the College of Artificial Intelligence, the team members include Guo Chenkai, associate professor of the College of Computer Science, Qiu Yu, a postdoctoral fellow of the College of Artificial Intelligence, doctoral candidates Hao Fangwei, Lu Haotian and Liang Weiyun of the College of Artificial Intelligence, and technicians from Tianjin GloryMed-Ai. The team came up with “An AI-assisted Digestive Endoscopic Image Diagnosis Platform” in the AI Plus Pharmaceutical and Medical Innovation Solution Competition, which uses AI to assist the digestive endoscopy-based early diagnosis and treatment of digestive tract cancer.
The first “Ingenuity Cup” National Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Competition is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government with the aim of tackling challenges facing technological innovation and application empowerment, accelerating AI technology innovation and engineering implementation, as well as facilitating empowerment for the integration of AI and the real economy.
