NKU Students Perform Excellently at 14th National Mathematics Competition for College Students

Recently, the Final of the 14th National Mathematics Competition for College Students was held at Guangdong University of Technology, which drew over 900 college students from provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country. The 11 students from Nankai University won five first prizes, one second prize and five third prizes.


Zhu Kai, Chen Wenchong, Che Baojun, Xia Yang and Wang Chunhui of the School of Mathematical Sciences won the first prize in the junior group for mathematics specialty. Gan Hangxin of the School of Mathematical Sciences won the second prize in the junior group for mathematics specialty. Xu Mingrui and Dai Qiming of the School of Mathematical Sciences won the third prize in the junior group for mathematics specialty. Jiang Mingyu of the College of Chemistry, Zhang Zhenming of the College of Computer Science, and Tian Jiahe of the School of Economics won the third prize in the non-mathematics category. 


It is reported that the National Mathematics Competition for College Students is a national high-level discipline competition for undergraduate students sponsored by the Chinese Mathematical Society, and has become one of China’s most influential college student discipline competitions with the largest number of participants.
