The new energy (energy chemistry) textbook compilation team led by Chen Jun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a professor at the College of Chemistry of Nankai University, is listed in the Strategic Emerging Fields “14th Five-Year Plan” Higher Education Textbook System Compilation Team, according to an announcement released by the Ministry of Education a few days ago.
The new energy (energy chemistry) textbook compilation team, led by Chen Jun, is composed of 40 experts, scholars and professionals in related fields from 16 universities including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, as well as publishing houses and enterprises. In view of the essence of new energy disciplines, the team will compile core textbooks in terms of 20 kinds of new energy on the basis of the integration of science and engineering disciplines such as chemistry, materials, environment, and optoelectronics. Also, it will run core model courses through, inter alia, classroom teaching, video courses, and virtual simulation. Furthermore, the team will operate intramural and extramural practical projects in line with the feartures of new energy subjects, set up a high-caliber faculty team based on core courses, and improve and update the education system on all fronts, providing personnel support for the realization of China’s “dual carbon” goals.
