The 2024 China Jilin Ice Dragon Boat Open took place at Jiangbin Park in Jilin City, Jilin Province. The event attracted many excellent teams from home and abroad. In the fierce competition, Nankai University’s dragon boat team won the championship of the 100-meter, 200-meter straight track races and the aggregate score, the best results for the participating teams.

In the winter dragon boat race of the 29th Jilin International Snow, Ice and Rime Festival held concurrently, Nankai University’s dragon boat team also won the third place in the 200-meter race and the second place in the 500-meter race, and won the second place for the aggregate score.

The 2024 China Jilin Ice Dragon Boat Open was hosted by the Jilin Provincial Sports Bureau and the Jilin Municipal People’s Government, approved and supported by the Chinese Dragon Boat Association.

It is learned that Nankai University’s dragon boat team made their debut on the ice dragon boat project in the winter of 2023-2024. Starting in December 2023, Nankai University’s dragon boat team has participated and achieved good results in the first National Collegiate Ice Dragon Boat Championships, the 2024 China Ice Dragon Boat Open, and other ice dragon boat competitions.
