NKU Professor Awarded APAO Achievement Award

The 39th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Congress 2024 was held in Bali, Indonesia. As the most influential ophthalmology event in Asia, this Congress gathers top ophthalmology experts in the Asia-Pacific region to discuss cutting-edge research achievements and technologies. Wang Yan, a well-known ophthalmologist and dean of the Institute of Ophthalmology of Nankai University, was invited to attend the meeting and made a report at the Congress.


At the Congress, Professor Wang Yan gave an in-depth analysis and shared experience in the astigmatism treatment after SMILE operation. At the same time, she was awarded the APAO Achievement Award for her outstanding academic achievements. This is the second time that Professor Wang Yan has received the APAO Achievement Award honor after 2015.
