2024-10-28

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) held its Logistics Research Network (LRN) Conference in Dublin, Ireland recently. The Research Center of Logistics team from Nankai University was invited to attend and presented the English report titled Contemporary Logistics in China, which is edited by the Center and exclusively published globally by Springer, a renowned scientific publisher. The report garnered significant attention and high praise from international scholars and corporate executives present at the event.

This report is the first and only English-language publication on the development of China’s logistics industry distributed internationally. It represents a significant achievement in Nankai Logistics’ efforts to align with world-class disciplines and is one of the major achievements of national think tank initiatives. Since its launch in 2011, the report has been published annually for 14 years, amassing over 120,000 downloads. It has also received multiple invitations to present at conferences hosted by the world’s largest logistics industry associations, including the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and the CILT. The report is also housed in prestigious institutions such as Harvard University, Stanford University, Yale University, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, and the National Library of Australia, establishing it as a vital resource for the global community to understand China’s logistics market and policies.

As one of the oldest and most prestigious professional organizations in logistics and transportation worldwide, CILT was formed by the merger of the century-old Institute of Logistics (IoL) and the Chartered Institute of Transport (CIT). The CILT LRN Conference serves as a permanent academic forum, bringing together university scholars, research professionals, and industry practitioners. With 29 successful editions to date, it has established a significant global influence.
