Recently, distinguished Nankai University alumnus Yi Xiaozhun, former Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), former Vice Minister of China’s Ministry of Commerce, and former Ambassador of the Permanent Mission of China to the WTO, delivered an academic lecture titled “China and the WTO” at Nankai University’s 105th Anniversary Symposium and “Nankai Economics Lecture Series”. The event was jointly organized by Nankai University’s School of Economics and the APEC Study Center, with over 120 faculty members and students from the Economics discipline in attendance.

Prior to the Symposium, Sheng Bin, Vice President of Nankai University, warmly welcomed Ambassador Yi at the Shiing-Shen Building, expressing his delight at Yi’s return to celebrate the 105th anniversary of Nankai University.

In his opening remarks at the Symposium, Sheng Bin introduced Yi Xiaozhun’s distinguished career and achievements to the audience.
