NKU Received Guests from the University of Queensland, Australia

On November 6, Heather Zwicker, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences of the University of Queensland, Australia, led a delegation to visit Nankai University. Vice President Chen Jun met with the guests at the Balitai Campus.


Chen Jun introduced the history and current situation of Nankai University as well as its cooperation with Australian universities. He hoped that the two universities would launch the substantive cooperation first from the field of humanitities, such as sociology, literature, philosophy, political science and sign the MOU.


Heather Zwicker introduced the basic situation of the University of Queensland and the characteristics of its disciplines, especially its humanities and social sciences disciplines. She hoped that the two universities would strengthen their ties by carrying out practical cooperation in the fields of humanities and social sciences.


On the same day, the delegation also attended a symposium on how to carry out substantive cooperation projects in different disciplines. The relevant persons in charge of the School of Literature, the College of Philosophy, the School of Sociology, and the Zhou Enlai School of Government of Nankai University exchanged views with the delegation.
