On December 11, the Signing Ceremony for the “Memorandum of Understanding between Nankai University and the American Chemical Society Publications” was held at the Haibing Center at the Balitai Campus. Chen Yulu, President of Nankai University, and James Milne, President of ACS Publications, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. Chen Jun, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Vice President of Nankai University, and Sarah Tegen, Senior Vice President of ACS Publications, also attended the ceremony.
The MOU outlines plans for both parties to co-host high-level academic events in chemistry and related fields, establish academic journals in emerging and interdisciplinary scientific areas, and deliver professional training programs for researchers. The collaboration aims to drive innovation and advance the development of chemistry and its related disciplines.
During the meeting, Chen Yulu highlighted the successful collaboration between the two institutions, including joint efforts in talent exchange and academic publishing.
James Milne expressed gratitude for NKU’s ongoing support of ACS and emphasized the importance of their partnership.
Later that day, NKU and ACS Publications held a disciplinary exchange symposium, fostering further academic dialogue.
