NKU’s Journal eScience Accepted into SCIE Database

2025-02-04

Recently, eScience, an international academic journal supervised by the Ministry of Education and published by Nankai University, was officially indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) database under Web of Science.

SCIE, as the core database of the Web of Science Core Collection, is globally recognized as the most authoritative citation database for natural sciences.

eScience focuses on publishing original, impactful, and broadly applicable research in energy, electrochemistry, electronics, environmental science, and their interdisciplinary fields. From its establishment, eScience has acquired international and domestic ISSNs, along with trademark rights. It is now indexed in SCIE, CAS, DOAJ, Scopus, and the China Science Core Journals Database, achieving an inaugural impact factor of 42.9, the highest among Chinese journals.

To date, eScience has published 20 issues, garnering widespread attention and citations from scholars worldwide.

In recent years, China’s research in electrochemistry and energy-related fields has flourished, with a growing number of researchers and a significant volume of annual publications. However, the development of domestic journals in these areas has lagged, and platforms for publishing significant interdisciplinary achievements in chemistry, materials science, physics, energy, and engineering remain scarce. In this context, eScience was founded with the support of Nankai University and its College of Chemistry. The journal aims to provide a platform for academic exchange, attract leading scientists worldwide to publish their groundbreaking research, and elevate China’s academic influence and international standing in electrochemistry, energy, engineering, and related interdisciplinary fields.
