To celebrate the United Nations (UN)'s 16th Chinese Language Day on April 20, 2025, Nankai University held International Students Culture and Art Festival and the 2025 Chinese Language Day on April 17. At the event, over 100 Chinese and foreign students participated in immersive experience activities on Chinese character civilization around the theme of Chinese: A gift that transcends time and space, to appreciate the beauty of words and the breadth of culture, and strengthen cultural exchanges and mutual learning.

Featuring the Journey of Time and Space, the event includes the Paper-cutting Workshop of 24 Solar TermsLantern-lit Terrace Exhibition of Millennial Culture, etc. Students immersed themselves in the ancient cultural atmosphere. We actively build a bridge of friendship and cultural exchanges for Chinese and international students, so that more people can appreciate the beauty of Chinese culture, and become envoys of friendship for cultural exchanges and mutual learning among different cultures, said the head of the event, from the College of Chinese Language and Culture.
