According to the latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) data released by Clarivate, Nankai University’s Neuroscience and Behavior discipline has newly entered the top 1% globally, becoming the 18th discipline to rank among the ESI global top 1%.

The 18 disciplines at Nankai University currently ranked in the ESI global top 1% are: Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Engineering, Environment/Ecology, Biology and Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Clinical Medicine, Computer Science, Mathematics, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Economics and Business, Social Sciences (General), Agricultural Sciences, Microbiology, Plant and Animal Science, Immunology, and Neuroscience and Behavior. Among these, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, and Environmental Science and Ecology are listed in the top 0.1% globally, with Chemistry standing out in the top 0.01%.
