eScience, a Journal Established by Nankai University, Scales New Heights at 2024 CiteScore

On June 4, Elsevier Scopus officially released the 2024 CiteScore™, a journal citation impact indicator. eScience, a journal  established by Nankai University, achieved an excellent result, with a CiteScore of 48.8, an increase of 32.94% from 33.7 in 2023, and a real-time CiteScore of 50.8. At the same time, eScience ranked in the Q1 division in the three subdivisions: ranking first among 64 journals in the field of Electrochemistry; ranking 2nd among 297 journals in the field of Renewable Energy, Sustainability and the Environment; ranking 3rd among 324 journals in the field of Materials Chemistry. It demonstrates its good development trend.

eScience (ISSN: 2667-1417) was founded in 2020, and the founding editor-in-chief is Academician Chen Jun of Nankai University. The letter “e” in eScience stands for energy, electrochemistry, electronics, environment, etc., implying that the journal is committed to publishing the latest research results that are original, important, and universal in the fields related to energy science, electrochemistry, electronics and environmental science as well as their interdisciplinary fields.

The eScience CiteScore indicator has shown a sustained and steady growth trend since it was officially included in the Scopus database in 2022. The head of the journal said, “The eScience’s progress would be impossible without the strong support and contribution from experts, scholars, authors, readers, reviewers and editorial board members. Bearing in mind its original mission of ‘rooted in China, embracing the world, and leading the future’, eScience strives to be an international top academic journal that consistently provides stellar publishing services for more scholars and readers.”
