On June 24, Chen Jun, Vice President of Nankai University, welcomed a visiting delegation from Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) in Saudi Arabia, led by Thamraa Mohammed Alshahrani, Director of international affairs, on Balitai Campus.

Chen Jun welcomed the delegation and introduced Nankai University’s academic strengths and its international cooperation and exchange. He noted that collaborative research in renewable energy between the two universities has begun to show promising results. He expressed hope that both sides would deepen exchanges, actively carry out cooperation across multiple fields and from all perspectives, and firmly promote the practical application of research outcomes, injecting new vitality into technological innovation in renewable energy as well as broader educational exchanges and collaboration between China and Saudi Arabia.

Ms. Alshahrani expressed sincere gratitude to Chen Jun for the warm reception and spoke highly of the achievements of previous cooperation. She commended Nankai University’s impressive research accomplishments and highlighted many shared interests between the two institutions in research and innovation. She expressed her hope that this visit would help strengthen their partnership, advance joint faculty research projects, promote student exchanges, and establish a diverse and innovative platform for international academic collaboration.
