A Delegation from Princeton University visits Nankai University

On June 18, Chen Jun, Vice President of Nankai University, received Wang Jing, Director of the Chinese Language Program, Department of East Asian Studies at Princeton University, and her colleague at the School of International Education of NKU. The two sides held in-depth discussions on advancing cooperation under the “Princeton-Nankai Chinese Language Program”.



During the meeting, Prof. Chen elaborated on Nankais development layout of One University, Three Campuses, and emphasized its educational philosophy of balancing humanities and sciences while fostering interdisciplinary integration. He also introduced the university's strategic focus on advancing AI-driven development. Chen noted that NKU would make thorough preparations to ensure the Programs successful launch and operation. Given the current international climate, he also stressed the importance of cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and the US, and reaffirmed the universitys commitment to providing full support for the initiative.


Wang praised the strong foundations both universities have built in Chinese language education and viewed the Program as a collaboration built on shared strengths. She emphasized the Programs significance in deepening mutual understanding among youth from both countries and strengthening the public foundation for future bilateral relations.
