The 25th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) was held in Shanghai from September 23 to 27. This CIIF, themed “Industrial Innovation, Smart Manufacturing without Boundaries”, spotlighted China’s latest advancements in advancing new industrialization and fostering new quality productive forces.

Nankai University presented its scientific and technological achievements at the customized booth. This year, the university showcased 16 representative research outcomes. These spanned key fields including advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI), new energy & advanced materials, bio-pharmaceuticals, and chemical engineering and technology. Diverse displays, featuring physical exhibits and presentation boards, offered a multi-dimensional showcase of the university’s technological breakthroughs.

The NKU booth drew significant attention during the event. Several projects garnered strong interest from industry professionals, notably the “Novel Porous Adsorbent Material” “Automatic Detection of Underwater Small Targets Using Sonar Images” “PathFinder - All-Terrain Intelligent Electric Transport System”, and “Rapid Detection Kit for Listeria Monocytogenes”. Additionally, the “Paopao - AI Smart Toy Pendant 3.0 developed by CoreCaring AI Technology (Tianjin) Co. Ltd.” was showcased through on-site roadshows, attracting active inquiries from research institutions and potential investors. At the fair, Nankai University received the Excellent Organization Award for University Exhibition Area, while its exhibits “Rapid Detection Kit for Listeria Monocytogenes” and “Smart Fruit and Vegetable Spoilage Detector” were both honored with the University Innovation Award.

Spanning five days, this CIIF featured nine theme exhibitions and three special exhibitions, covering a vast exhibition area of 300,000 square meters. It attracted the participation of over 3,000 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions worldwide.
