
On December 4, Chen Fei, Vice President of Yunnan Normal University, and his delegation visited Nankai University. Chen Jun, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Executive Vice President of Nankai University (NKU), met with the guests at the Haibing Center on Balitai Campus.
Chen Jun noted that the profound friendship between the two universities dates back to their shared origin in the National Southwestern Associated University. He expressed hope that both institutions would continuously deepen and advance their friendship and cooperation in the new era. This entails not only carrying forward the spirit of the National Southwestern Associated University but also innovating collaborative models. He looked forward to both universities following the guidance of the Ministry of Education, exploring innovative models for jointly running Chinese-foreign cooperative schools, and deepening their collaboration to cultivate outstanding talents.
Chen Fei emphasized that Yunnan Normal University places high importance on its cooperation with Nankai University. He affirmed his university’s commitment to seizing new development opportunities in the new era and leveraging the policy framework of the Ministry of Education and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership to establish a new type of Chinese-foreign cooperative education partnership with Nankai University and promote the development of Chinese-foreign cooperative education initiatives. He looked forward to receiving support from Nankai University in this endeavor.
On that day, the delegation of Yunnan Normal University also had discussions with the College of Economic and Social Development and paid a visit to the School of Statistics and Data Science.
