From February 2 to 3, the Five Continents Ice Dragon Boat Challenge was held on Xilin Lake in Xilinhot City, Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Competing as China’s only student team at the event, the Nankai University Dragon Boat Team finished second in all four races: the 5-person 100-meter straight track race, the 12-person 100-meter & 200-meter straight track race, and the 12-person 400-meter drift race. The team also placed second overall with 112 scores.

Co-organized by the International Ice Dragon Boat Federation (IIDBF) and the Xilingol League Administrative Office, the competition drew 29 teams and nearly 600 athletes from 21 countries and regions across five continents.

Nankai University Dragon Boat Team earned its berth after topping the overall standings in the 2025–2026 Ice Dragon Boat Super League season, and joined the host Inner Mongolia Xilingol Dragon Boat Team to represent China. It was the only team of enrolled university students in this edition of the competition.
